The PowerModule product is a lithium battery system designed to be modular. Its mechanical design allows a maximum number of assembly combinations, vertical, horizontal or both at the same time.
Thanks to this flexibility, commissioning is made easier, and the battery system can be housed in cramped or unconventional locations.
This product is the fruit of several years’ R&D to develop the BMS Matrix concept, enabling a power battery to be “split” into a large number of individual modules.
The PowerModule meets the needs of any application requiring high capacity and/or high voltage (up to 819.2VDC nominal). More specifically, the PowerModule is designed for use in industrial vehicles, medium and heavy-duty traction, robotics, energy storage, ESS, etc.
Up to 128 modules (approx. 700kWh) can be assembled in series, parallel, or series and parallel.
Depending on the size of the final installation, an external BMS may be required to control the system.
For small systems with up to 16 modules and no need for monitoring, an external BMS is not required.
Each PowerModule is equipped with an internal BMS to control operation (temperature, high and low cut-off voltage, etc.).
Depending on the model PowerModule are equipped with sealed Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cells, or brand new solid-state LFP cells, offering high performance, safety and long life.
Like the PowerRack range, the PowerModule system uses our BMSMatrix® technology to manage optimal system operation.
BMSMatrix® is the embedded intelligence of PowerModule: this technology offers incredible modularity and flexibility for the deployment and maintenance of battery systems, while ensuring automatic control of systems of several hundred volts and kilowatt hours.
PowerModule has a Type Approval Certification (TAC) for marine applications, obtained from the Bureau Veritas Marine et Offshore organization.
This International certification obtained in 2023 guarantees that the PowerModule complies with several standards, tests and procedures:
Thanks to its equivalence with other certification bodies (DNV-GL, LOYDS, RINA, etc.), this TAC certification enables PowerModules to be used in all river and naval electrification projects requiring international maritime classification.
The PowerModule has held ECE R100 Revision 2 certification since 2025.
This R100 Rev2 certification is an international approval dedicated to electric road vehicles. Initially focused on powertrain safety requirements, its revised version, in force since 2016, imposes a series of rigorous new tests to validate the safety of battery packs.
To obtain R100 certification, the batteries had to pass a series of tests under extreme conditions:
These tests require a high level of engineering. Mechatronic design and the robustness of the BMS (Battery Management System) are therefore crucial.
Without this certification, an electric vehicle cannot legally circulate in Europe.
The R100 certification of the PowerModule is valid for M1 and N1 category vehicles:
As for the PowerRack range, a monitoring and Telemetry service is available for PowerModule® battery system.
This service allows all battery operating parameters to be monitored in real time. OTA firmware update can also be
All information are collected by WIFI, 3G/4G, or TCP-IP ethernet networks.
The service is based on a secure API-REST interface based in a secure cloud.
The main features of the service are as follows:
